Paul Meiers is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and New York, and has worked for Norton and Schmidt since 1992. Paul earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas.
Paul’s work background from the time of his college graduation and prior to joining Norton and Schmidt was mechanical engineering for the electric utility and petrochemical industries in Kansas City, upstate New York, Oklahoma and Texas.
Upon joining Norton and Schmidt he has shifted his focus to performing work for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing requirements for residential, commercial and industrial clients. The range of commercial and industrial projects is from parking lot lighting projects to a complex 1800 seat auditorium. Residential projects ranged from HVAC and electrical projects for single family dwellings to MEP designs for a 60 unit retirement community condominium complex complete with renewable energy infrastructure.
Paul is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and a life member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This keeps Paul active and up to-date with respect to new technology and its applications.
Paul works with architects, contractors and homeowners to enable solutions for both budgetary and scheduling concerns to solve design problems. In addition, forensic engineering is a particular interest to Paul as it relates to the solving the puzzle of cause and origin for insurance losses and investigations into injury accidents while working with insurance adjusters and attorneys.
