Grant has over 6 years of experience in consulting, structural design, documentation, building diagnostics, and site observation as a structural engineer. He has been involved with all stages of design and construction ranging from pre-schematic design, detailed design engineering to performing punchlists for large projects. Grant has worked on a variety of projects from small residential to multi-million-dollar high-profile facilities. These projects consist of new facility design and existing facility retrofits. His designs take advantage of all major construction materials; masonry, steel, concrete, wood, precast, and looks to new materials for innovative projects. In addition to the traditional design-bid-build project delivery methods, Grant also excels in the design-build market through sensitivity to cost effective design, value engineering, and time sensitive schedules which allow the owner and contractor the most flexibility with the greatest outcome.
Grant has also dealt with several restoration projects involving residential, commercial multifamily and parking garages. His experience includes surveying existing structures, completing written specifications for repairs and project management/construction administration. Grant’s project experience includes, but is not limited to: home construction, parking garage reviews, schools, prefabricated metal building foundations, office buildings, power plant renovations, steel connection design, manufacturing facilities, fiber reinforced polymers (FRP), and building information modeling (BIM). He does his own BIM design in Revit which provides the best design and collaboration interfacing throughout the life of the project.
